Spring has officially sprung in the Finger Lakes

It’s official. When the crocuses start popping up from the ground in all their glory, it means Spring has officially sprung. Congratulations to those of us who have survived the Coldest Winter Ever. Let us never speak of it again.

I love how these flowers hold the light — it’s electrifying.

And I love these little blue flowers, which I today found out are called Glory of the Snow. I am quite happy there is no snow to be glorious around, though.

Since Spring is all about rebirth and new life, this post wouldn’t be complete without these lambs — they were so cute, hopping around after their momma bleeting and bah-ing.

  1. Beautiful photos and Great Spring spirit! I’m on board to never speak of the You Know What (winter) again. Just a big, Springy, High Five to us all for being here now, loving the energizing side of crocuses, lambs and Now:))! Thanks Heidi for putting visuals to the fun!!!

  2. Beautifully shot! I particularly love the flowers with the dead leaves (?) and tree providing stunning bokeh (but then again, I would, wouldn’t I?) in the background. 🙂
